WOLVERHAMPTON added another league point to their tally at King's Lynn - but missed out on another as they were beaten in a Super Heat on their travels for the second time in just over a fortnight.
Just as they did at Belle Vue on Bank Holiday Monday, the Parrys International Wolves drew 45-45 in Norfolk, before being denied in the shootout with the extra point up for grabs.
Wolves found themselves six points down with six races gone before a 5-1 from Luke Becker and Ryan Douglas in Heat Seven pulled them back to within two.
A hat-trick of shared races then followed before Steve Worrall and Sam Masters combined for the team's second maximum of the night to move the Wolves ahead just as they did in the opener.
But little did they know that would be their last race win of the fixture and when former World Champion Artem Laguta and ex-Wolf Nicolai Klindt linked up for a 4-2 in Heat 15, the hosts had forced a Super Heat decider.
And despite the best efforts of Masters and Becker, that same home duo did the damage again to keep them in second and fourth respectively, leaving the Wolves to settle for the one league point.
The Parrys International Wolves now turn their attentions to the Sports Insure Premiership Knockout Cup Semi-Final where they need to overturn an 18 point deficit against Sheffield at Monmore Green on Monday (June 19, 7.30).
KING'S LYNN 45: Nicolai Klindt 15+1, Artem Laguta 12, Kye Thomson 8, Thomas Jorgensen 7+1, Michael Palm Toft 2+1, Jason Edwards 1+1, Frederik Jakobsen R/R WOLVERHAMPTON 45: Sam Masters 13+1, Zach Cook 10+3, Luke Becker 9+1, Steve Worrall 6, Ryan Douglas 5+4, Leon Flint 2, Rory Schlein R/R. King's Lynn beat Wolverhampton 6-3 in Super Heat
