RACEDAY BUILD-UP: MASTERS WANTS BIG ATMOSPHERE

Monday September 26, 2022
WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Sam Masters says the club's supporters can "˜help massively' throughout tonight's Premiership Play-Off Semi-Final against Sheffield at Monmore Green (Monday, September 26, 7.30).

The Parrys International Wolves are back in the Black Country for their first home fixture in almost a month - and it's by far their most important of the year so far.

Peter Adams' side head into the fixture on the back of four consecutive home wins but Masters knows he and his team-mates are going to need to be at their best against the regular table-toppers.

"Sheffield have put together a really strong team this year and we've had some really close meetings against them," Masters said.

"This is the beginning of the play-offs though and it doesn't really matter what's happened before now, everything starts again here.

"We know if everything clicks together on the night and all seven of us Wolves boys do our job for the team that we're capable of coming up with a big result at home.

"We want to do it for ourselves as a team, for the management and of course for the supporters too.

"For me, they can help massively; we can always hear them down on track and back in the pits so hopefully it's a really good, loud atmosphere at Wolves for the first leg and hopefully we can build up a pretty decent lead."
