FLINT TAKES VICTORY IN UNDER-21 FINAL

Wednesday August 31, 2022
WOLVERHAMPTON’S Leon Flint was crowned the new British Under-21 Champion at Birmingham on Wednesday.

The Parrys International Wolves’ Rising Star went unbeaten around his old Perry Barr home track to add another individual honour to his CV - just over a month after winning the British Under-19s.

Said Flint: “It feels really good.

“I’ve had a rough time of late with a lot of travelling and a lot of bike prep but it feels good to have that smile back on my face and it’s another reminder why I keep doing what I love - and that’s racing my bike.

“To go through the card like I did in the Under-19s as well was great and I’d like to thank all the Wolves fans who came and supported me.”

Meanwhile, despite a positive start to the night, fellow reserve Drew Kemp missed out on a Semi-Final place while club No.8 Joe Thompson finished third in the qualifying scores, but was squeezed out in the Semi with a place in the Grand Final on the line.

A reminder that the Parrys International Wolves head to Sheffield on Thursday (September 1, 7.30) in the Premiership.
