AMERICAN ace Broc Nicol moves back to the reserve slot for September – starting against King’s Lynn at Monmore tomorrow (7.30).

Ryan Douglas has been in sizzling form throughout August and jumps back into the main body of the Wolverhampton side.

“I started at reserve and I had a good start to the season so it moved me into the main body”, he said.

“You never want to go backwards really - but Dougy has been going real good lately and he has been very strong at reserve.

“Hopefully when I go back there I can do as good a job and help bring home the gold.

“Hopefully I can have some good rides leading up to and in the play-offs and help us get some wins.

“I was really happy with how I rode in the double headers against Belle Vue - but there’s always room to improve.

“There are a couple of points I feel I missed out on but that keeps me pushing on and moving forward and that means improving.”

Nicol insists they’ll be ready for the King’s Lynn challenge and will guard against complacency despite the league table which shows the visitors struggling at the bottom.

“The most important thing is to collect as many points as we can and seal the deal for top of the league,” he said.

“We’re all riding well and so long as we can keep that going and keep pushing forward I think we’re in Championship form and I’m excited and keen already to get going with those play-offs - but there’s still a few meetings to go before that.”
