WOLVERHAMPTON owner Chris Van Straaten has revealed how money raised from supporters has helped fix track equipment.

When the Parrys International Wolves welcomed Ipswich to Monmore Green last Monday, the pump on the water tanker malfunctioned during the meeting.

A Go Fund Me Page, was set-up by a supporter when concerns were raised about losses due to crowd restrictions, and has now been utilised to fix track machinery.

Van Straaten said: “I will be forever grateful for the kind messages of support Wolverhampton Speedway has received this year. Money raised from the Go Fund Me Page, kindly set up by a supporter, has helped fix essential track equipment.

“The water pump is an important part of track preparation, especially during warm weather and we have utilised the generosity of supporters to repair essential track equipment.”

Next up for the Parrys International Wolves is Peterborough at Monmore Green. Supporters can purchase tickets at the stadium, with cash and card facilities available.
