FANS’ favourite Kyle Howarth is keen to make significant progression next season after sealing a return to Monmore Green.

Despite an up-and-down campaign, the former British Under-21 Champion will be back with the Parrys International Wolves for a fourth successive year.

And Howarth reckons his podium finish in the end of season NGK Spark Plugs Olympique helped his cause no end.

“I knew I had to do something in that meeting to remind people what I could do so a second place in that one was more-or-less spot on for me,” he said.

“It had been a tough season for me to be honest where things didn’t quite go to plan with the few injuries I had and my performances in the second half of the year were quite inconsistent.

“It was a bit disappointing to end like that because I felt like I’d started the season strongly and I was riding really well.

“But I’m just glad Pete (Adams - Team Manager) and Chris (Van Straaten - Promoter) believe in me and have given me another chance because I really do enjoy myself at Wolves.

“Everyone there knows what I can do on my day and I can score some big points for the team both home and away.

“I’ve shown that since I first joined them but next year it’s all about taking things to the next level.

“Its a new challenge I kind of want to set myself and I want to achieve more.

“Most of my meetings for Wolves have been at No.2 but next year one of my main goals is to be pushing for one of those heat-leader spots and start pushing myself up the league.

“I’ve got my holiday out the way already and I’m already back in the gym working on my fitness again for next year.

“I’m going to have some really good equipment under me again, I’m going to be surrounded by plenty of good people and there’s no reason why I can’t really kick on next season.”
