The battle to save the iconic Brandon Stadium, home of the Coventry Bees for 90 years, continues.

On Tuesday evening the Save Coventry Speedway and Stox Campaign Group staged a public meeting in the Brandon Hall Hotel where more than 300 people turned up. Guests included Rugby Council Leader Michael Stokes and Member of Parliament for Rugby, Mark Pawsey, both of whom addressed the audience. A number of riders were also present, incliding Chris Harris, Danny King and Stuart Robson.

Campaign Group members Jeff Davies, Dave Rowe and Dave Carter took the audience through a presentation updating them with the latest status and outlining why they're optimistic of an outcome that would see the Bees return 'home'.

There was an extremely positive response to the meeting, with direct comments and on social media.

The Planning Application to build 137 houses on Brandon is likely to go before the Rugby Council Planning Committee in January.
